"Love is War" and the message of God's Love and keeping the faith

Photobucket

Hello once again to "Akado Kogane's The Ultimate Media Freak".

Today, I'm going to do something different.

Instead of reviewing music from my perspective, I'm going in depth to talk about the meaning of the song.

Today's lesson is on "Love is War" by supercell featuring Miku Hatsune.

Naturally, it's about a girl singing about a guy (or in some cases, a guy is singing about a girl), right?

WRONG!

After examining the song in-depth, I find that the song wants us to wake up our ideas and to start believe that there is a loving God and He is watching over us. Just that the majority of the human being do not care.

The song is sung from the perspective of someone who still believes in God's love and will do anything to love Him also. Hence, the idea of keeping the faith is instilled to the listeners (only to those believers that is).

So now, we will talk about in detail the lyrics to the song. For the sake of our international readers, I will show the English Version of the song.

I can't hide this feeling anymore
Don't you notice the fever of this love?
(AAAH!)

This means that the believer cannot be suppressed anymore. The person basically had enough. He feel the need to spread God's love to everyone.

Dark clouds were hanging low
A buzzing of the city has lost its colors
The landscape went down to the shade
It's growing dark
Everything seems so far away

In this verse, the person is singing about the aftermath of an actual war, which may lead to a post-apocalyptic environment.

(Ah) The world isn't how it used to be
I feel like I stand alone
Still do I love you?
I know that but
What can I do for it?
What should I do?
What do I have to do?

In this verse, the person is talking about how the world has changed for the worse. The reasons for this is that there is no longer unity, ending up alone.

However, he still wants to believe in God. And he is asking for help on how to overcome. It could also show that the person realizes that he/she is a sinner and wants to change for the better, searching for a way to keep the faith.

How a fool... NO OTHER WAY!

It's the war of love
I should do the fight!
I don't know what is the use of just seeing you smile
I want you so bad
Am I guilty?
I'm gonna show you how my love is strong anyhow

This is really talking about a sensitive issue.

If you look at the lyrics from the big picture, you realize that it is actually against the idea of The Holy War. He/She just want to believe in a peaceful manner. Hence, the question "Am I Guilty?" pops up.

I screamed out to you with a megaphone
But you didn't hear me
I tried to catch you many times
Everytime I can't even touch you
Please look at me

This is another sensitive issue. We do realize that the person is singing about the one characteristics of God. He is there but no mere human being can sense Him.

The only way to sense Him is to pray.

(Ah) When I look up to the sky
It has become blue
But I know it's not for me
I can't stop my feelings to grow but
How can I do?
Why do I have to?

This also talks about the person thinking himself/herself as a sinner, that he/she does not deserve the bright path for they have sinned.

I swear in this love, I'll never give you up...
I LOVE YOU!

It's the war of love
I'll shoot your heart
There is no time to plan any strategies or tactics
Before someone takes you away
I'm gonna get you
I want to be with you any day and any time

This verse definitely show how true his/her belief is. In fact, this part shows that the person still believes in God and will do anything to uphold it.

The "someone" in this song is none other than the Devil himself.

The person is now following God in everyday aspects of his life.

PREPARE TO INTERCEPT!

It will be long until the war comes to an end
I can't get out of this darkness
Would you put a light to me by your kiss

This is really asking for the Divine Intervention.

The person still thinks himself/herself as a sinner.

The only difference is that he/she now believes in salvation, instead of asking stupid questions.

So there you have it. "Love is War" in a nutshell.

Thank you for reading

P.S Keep the faith.

From,
Akado Kogane
