DOUBLE RUMBLE Movie Reviews: "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and "Star Trek"

OK! This is the first (and hopefully the last time) that I will fit in two movie reviews into one article.

So, without further ado, let me present the movie reviews!

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

Photobucket

OK. This movie is explicitly straight-forward. Wolverine is "immortal", becomes the Adamantium-skeletoned "WEAPON X", blah blah blah.

But before we go to the commotion that we have already known, the movie gave us more than we bargained for.

It gives an insight to his extended lives, romances, and above all, how he became the Wolverine that we all know and love.

Whatever the case, this movie have some flaws that needed to be explained.

For this, I give a 4/5.

StarStarStarStar

It's not bad, but it has some missing plot holes that have yet to be filled. Thankfully, a sequel is on the way.

Next, we have another movie review!

STAR TREK

Photobucket

A reboot to the Star Trek franchise, I must say that it was a sudden disaster. I like how J.J. Abrams delivers the movie in the right direction by respecting to all the Star Trek mythos.

HOWEVER, I feel that the movie is Star Warsy for some reason.

Anyway, to sum it all up:

New timeline with screws gone loose!

Kirk's father died, thanks to Captain Nero, an asshole who travels back in time.

Kirk becomes an asshole, Spock becomes an asshole, everyone else follow suit.

It's a funhouse gone mad!

Anyway, enough of the biasness. Let's go for a retrospective insight.

To be honest, the movie delivers. It is great for the general audience and the new trekkies. But for the hardcore trekkies, this movie is really hard to swallow.

For this, I give it a 3/5 (sorry J.J. Abrams)

StarStarStar

It's a damn good movie, but it's on par with Cloverfield (It's that mediocre)

For that, I sum'd up this article with a big thank you!

Hopefully I can make more reviews in the long run.

Till then, have a happy spring season!

Notorious (2009 film)

Photobucket

OK! Now this movie really takes the cake.

Notice that unlike some shit-fest that involves pop stars, Notorious takes you to a world of Hip-Hoppers, Rappers, and the likes of people involving themselves to some crazy shit.

This movie is about the life and legacy of Christopher Wallace k.a. Biggie Smalls a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G.

It has a griping story of how to overcome adversity in the time of need.

It is a coming of age story that really inspires me to do some things in life that are considered "too fucked up" to do so. I mean going into the entertainment scene, even if I know that it is life-threatening to a certain extent.

Anyway, the movie also featured several famous people, including but not limited to 2Pac, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Faith Evans, Lil' Kim, etc.

So, this movie gains my respect.

And as a tribute, I'll award this movie a 21-star ovation.

R.I.P. Christopher Wallace / Biggie Smalls / The Notorious B.I.G.

All salute to this fine man.

「トワイライト・ブレイド」[TWILIGHT BLADE] Interview with Akado Yamada

Hi there! Alucard Yamada here.

OK! Here's the interview with Akado Yamada.

Are you ready? 3, 2, 1, GO!

1. Describe yourself in 3 words… and why! ( use adjectives )

Courageous: I always face up to challenges. Even if I lose, I will not back down from a fight!
Compassionate: I always take good care of my girlfriend, my family and my friends.
Stubborn: There are most things that I will never give in to people. Maybe that's why I have only a few friends.

2. What made you want to be part of "Twilight Blade"?

First of all, it has been my dream of producing a fan-film that has the best of both worlds. That has the romantic feeling of "Twilight" and the action-packed feeling of "Blade".

3. Are you anything like the character you play on "Twilight Blade"? What are some similarities / differences?

Actually, the character is more like me. LOL!

Similarities: We never give up. We are good in swords. We have a dark past. And we always pick our fights.
Differences: I am a human (duh!), I do not have superhuman abilities. And I have more brain power than Jake Cena (the character).

4. Any unforgettable / hilarious / most enjoyable moments while filming?

Actually, there was this time that I was halfway filming a scene and then all of a sudden, the battery went flat! LOL! We had no choice but to re-plan and re-do the entire scene, solely because the scene itself sucks. That is also laughable as the sucky scene turned out to be too cheesy for our taste.

5. What are some of the challenges you faced while filming?

Manpower. We only lack manpower.

6. If you’re not filming, what are some of the stuff you enjoy doing in your free time?

Playing video games, Playing music, Listening to music, Watching Anime and Tokusatsu, Reading comics, Sparring, and surfing the Internet.

7. Favourite:

Singer & Song: "Decode" by Paramore, "SAKURA" by THE LOCAL ART, "Here Comes The End Again" by Eyeshine, and there are many more (in fact, too long to be written!)
Celebrity crush: Riyu Kosaka, Reina Tanaka, Koharu Kusumi, Dakota Fanning.
Book: "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer, "The Lord of the Rings" by J. R. R. Tolkien, "Artemis Fowl" by Eoin Colfer, "Harry Potter" by J. K. Rowling

Twilight (2008 film)

Photobucket

Finally! Here's the review of "Twilight" for the Ultimate Media Freak!

As you can see, this is a vampire romance film.

And I must say, it really is hard for me to describe this film in a review form.

So, I'm gonna put it blunt and simple.

It was really good. It had depth and story. Most important of all, it was WAY better than the novel itself.

How was it better than the novel?

In a way, it really portrayed the setting and the characters in a more vivid environment.

So, it really was made into a good film.

And yes, of all the movies I have reviewed this year, this will be labelled "The Ultimate Media Freak Movie Event of the Year 2008"!

So, I'm gonna give this an ultimate score of 10 out of 10 stars! WOOT!

StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar

And by the way, keep a lookout for this show. I'll be doing more than just movie reviews. I'll be doing game reviews, and more music reviews.

And hopefully, I will get to start a video version of the show soon.

I am Adam Yamada a.k.a. Alucard Yamada

and this has been "The Ultimate Media Freak".

Have a happy Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

P.S. Whoever the fucktard said that Twilight was bad *ahem*BUM!*ahem*, go and fuck yourselves to shame!

This movie deserves an Oscar for the efforts being put into it!

Cicak-Man 2: Planet Hitam

Photobucket

OK!

I know I should have reviewed "Winx Club: The Secret of the Lost Kingdom", but I might as well review its DVD when it is out. Since most cinemas have already taken the movie out of the roster.

However, there is another movie in which I find awesome to say the least.

"Cicak-Man 2: Planet Hitam" is a superhero movie that defines the action in an action movie.

OK, OK. I know I am using the formula "X Y is X". I just use that for the lulz. Intentionally.

Anyway, the movie started with a big bang! Seriously.

The character portrayal in this movie is really solid. The dialogue in this one is more multi-lingual. The action sequences are way too awesome!

The depth of the story? Needless to say that the storyline in this one is more politically-driven and personal issues spread like wildfire!

In fact, think of it as a clash of "Hancock" VS "Spider-Man" VS The Real World.

Yes! It's a triple threat, ladies and gentlemen.

Well, it's more of a Fatal-4-Way between Cicak-Man, Professor Klon, Rrama and The Ginger Ghosts. (Spoiler Alert!)

And yes, it is way better than the first one.

Still, if only Cicak-Man reveals his true identity to Tania!

Well, it's just wishful thinking.

Anyway, here is my score on this movie.

StarStarStarStarStar

A perfect score once again!

5 out of 5!

Thank you.
